The Bell at Tring

This 17th Century coach house is perfectly located on the high street of the historic town of Tring. With public parking 100m away, a fabulous courtyard garden and fully refurbished interior, we think The Bell is the perfect place for a catch up with friends and family over a drink. We have beautiful lunch or dinner options from our brand new menu including light bites, Sunday roasts and plentiful a la carte options from our fantastic chefs.

Our wine list is carefuly curated by our in house sommeliers; our multi award winning real ales are made at our brewery in Wheathampstead, Hertfordshire. And our menu is carefully written to use locally sourced, fresh ingredients wherever possible to ensure maximum flavour and quality.

2023 has seen a total refurb inside and out. Giving this incredible building the love and care it deserves.

Vegetables are delivered fresh every morning from our local supplier who source locally grown produce. Our fish is caught fresh each day from the harbours of South East England. Our meats and game are locally and sustainably sourced from farms in Hertfordshire & Buckinghamshire. Indeed, much of our meat is fed on the grains from the brewery itself - reducing our food miles dramatically.

Sourcing locally is not the cheapest option... but it does ensure great quality and a thriving local economy.

So, if it’s a special occasion, a refreshing pint or you just fancy relaxing with some great food & drink we will be happy to help. Simply give us a call or pop in and see one of the team. We look forward to seeing you soon!

Founded in 2014 Farr Brew is the brain child of Nick Farr, a man with an enthusiasm for top quality ale who started his brewing journey in 1999. In 2015 he teamed up with long-term friend Matt Elvidge and Farr Brew became a limited company. Matt brings his experience from years of working in the creative, advertising and sales industries to the role of Sales Director.

Farr Brew was founded on the principles of creating great tasting real ales brewed with craft and a commitment to quality. Based on the success of the award winning beers and their reputation for customer satisfaction Farr brew have expanded over the past few years and now run five very successful pubs across Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire. They are stocked in a large number of wonderful pubs, off licences, restaurants and farm shops. And run outside bars at music festivals, food markets, Christmas events, weddings and other private functions throughout the year. At all of these events you can find their friendly and hard working ‘Best Bar Staff by Farr’ ready to pour you a pint.

Farr Brew is a multi awarding brewery that has the environment and the community at its heart. Awarded ‘The Greenest Brewery’ in 2018 (nationally) they look for every opportunity to protect their surroundings whilst maximising their effort. One of the ways they do this, is using spent brewing grains to feed the local high welfare livestock which feature on their pub menus. Please look at the website for more details.
